‘Help a Child Publish a Story’ Project

Children from 5 to 19 years old and their families took part in the project. The ‘Help a Child Publish a Story’ project was funded by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Arts Grants Scheme in 2017-18, to develop an understanding of common elements within traditional stories and guide the participants to write their own stories.

The stories are archived. It is also known as the ‘My Story Project’ among the participants. The project continues to deliver story writing workshops for lifelong learners and new stories are added to the Story Library regularly.

TTLCIC – Tell a Story, Your Story

The project workshops delivered in the library attracted under fives and their parents and carers.  These parents and carers helped their children tell stories and they recorded their children’s stories on paper or using the ‘submit a story’ form we developed on our website.

As the stories are being submitted to us, they are published on Talk Together London’s WordPress blog first.  We developed a blog dedicated to archiving the project stories.

All the stories are then published on the Story Library pages of our website at http://www.talktogetherlondon.org/.
